Description
The current mast mounted thermal imager camera installed on 45' Response Boat (Medium) (RBM) is now obsolete. The Coast Guard has a need to purchase 200 replacement thermal imager cameras over a 5-year period. The replacement camera must be able to see in total darkness, light fog, light smoke, and identify obstructions, buoys, persons in the water and other vessel at night. The replacement camera will be controlled remotely (pan/tilt/zoom) via a joystick located in the pilothouse and the camera is displayed on an existing navigation system monitor. Installation of the thermal imager camera will be accomplished by internal Coast Guard personnel.
