Overview
Description
This project will replace five major aids to navigation in the Humboldt Bay AOR. The structures are located in two distinct areas: two in Crescent City, and three in Humboldt Bay. The type of work involved for ATON structures includes replacing existing 1 or 3 pile steel structures with a new steel structure with a 5 x5 or 7 x7 platform. Fiber reinforced polymer piles will also be utilized where applicable for corrosion avoidance and increased longevity of ATON structure. All piles will be driven with vibratory hammer. The individual scope of each aid is denoted below:
