Overview
Description
The United States Secret Service (USSS) Cyber Fraud Task Force (CFTF) Program was created to prevent, mitigate and prosecute complex cyber crimes seeking to exploit the internet and critical and financial infrastructure. As a result of the CFTF program, modernization and or creation of 42 Digital Evidence Forensics Labs (DEFLs) was initiated. DEFLs will better enable forensic examiners to conduct the increasing evolving critical exams needed to combat cyber criminals. A part of the construction and enhancement phase includes the installation of new, advance furniture specifically designed for computer forensics labs. The forensic furniture listed in the market survey has been previously utilized by USSS forensic examiners and task force personnel and proved to be a sound product that has enhanced the evidentiary outcome of the exam.
