Overview
Description
CSPD has a requirement for an Applet Modernization Software solution for ACE. This software is a required component until the modernization of ACE manifest user interface (UI) application is complete and fully migrated into ACE Cloud.
The Multi Modal Manifest (MMM) UI application is critical for CBP users to take necessary actions including but not limited to processing flight, vessel, and train arrivals that will cause a cascading affect preventing the release of cargo. The MMM Applet is crucial to the Office of Trade functions at the nation's ports and additionally allows partner agencies to place holds on Manifests when these need to be evaluated for implementation of any law.
MMM is an old Java based technology currently facing issues for continued use because the applet technology is no longer supported in a modern browser. MMM UI application currently utilizes an Applet Modernization Software that is containerized and runs in ACE Cloud. This crucial software was implemented providing an intermediate solution until the application is completely modernized and migrated to the ACE Cloud environment.
