Description
Integrated Primary Prevention encompasses two key programs aimed at addressing the prevention of sexual assault and interpersonal violence within the Department of the Air Force. The first program, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) Records, Investigations and Operations Network (ORION), is focused on developing and deploying a cloud-based case management system to enhance the collection, analysis, and integration of data related to sexual offenses and interpersonal violence. This system will serve as OSI's central mission application and enable more effective oversight and execution of criminal indexing processes. The second program, the Interpersonal Self-Directed Violence Prevention program under the Air Force Integrated Resilience Office (A1Z), aims to research, develop, and assess prevention strategies for interpersonal and self-directed violence. This includes initiatives such as leveraging machine learning algorithms for trend analysis, developing a community prevention platform, modernizing resilience training programs, and implementing virtual reality capabilities for sexual assault prevention training.
The goals of Program PE 0808737F are to enhance the Department of the Air Force's ability to prevent sexual assault and interpersonal violence through the development and deployment of advanced technologies and strategies. The ORION program seeks to improve data collection, analysis, and integration related to sexual offenses and interpersonal violence by developing a cloud-based case management system that will serve as OSI's central mission application. This system aims to streamline processes, reduce administrative burden, increase integration with other stakeholders, and provide mobile-ready access for investigative data. On the other hand, the Interpersonal Self-Directed Violence Prevention program focuses on modernizing prevention education and training programs through initiatives such as machine learning analysis, community action plan tracking, resilience training modernization, virtual reality-based training for sexual assault prevention, and career-long evaluation plans to track effectiveness. These efforts are designed to improve overall health and well-being within the Total Force Airmen and Guardians by identifying behavioral contributors to interpersonal violence, educating/training personnel for prevention, and transparently documenting and tracking prevention strategies at installation levels.
