Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grants employ a comprehensive approach to community development centered on redeveloping severely distressed public housing and/or HUD-assisted housing. The program aims to transform neighborhoods of poverty into viable mixed-income neighborhoods with access to economic activities by revitalizing a target housing project and catalyzing critical improvements in the neighborhood, including vacant property, housing, businesses, services and schools.
